Wide World of Sports and Fox Sports reported in September that Jack Wighton is among a group of Rabbitohs players, alongside Campbell Graham, Brandon Smith and others, who could be negotiated with by rival clubs from November 1. Fox Sports named him as one of several Souths stars set to hit the open market.
