Inside Brisbane
The richest club couldn't keep Haas.
Brisbane are the defending premiers and they have spent the season at the foot of the table. Seven premierships since entering in 1988, the biggest revenue in the game, and a decade that never quite matched the brand: five finals trips in ten years and a mid-table win rate until the 2025 title over Melbourne looked like the corner turned. It wasn't. The Herald calls this the worst title defence since 1953, Payne Haas is off to South Sydney, and a five-person panel is deciding Michael Maguire's future, the Courier-Mail reports, while Maguire tells anyone who asks that he won't be changing a thing. Earning $98.3 million a year, per the audited ASX accounts, buys a lot of things. Calm is apparently not one of them.
- Revenue $98.3 million, profit $7.8 million, audited ASX accounts to December 2025. The largest published figure in the league.
- ASX-listed. News Corp's Nationwide News holds 68.87 per cent of Brisbane Broncos Limited.

Pathways
- Brisbane field no reserve-grade or junior-representative team of their own. Below the NRL the men's ladder runs through the Broncos Academy and Queensland's Hostplus Cup affiliate clubs, of which only Souths Logan names the relationship on its own site. The women's ladder has an NRLW team at the top and the club's female academy and pathways beneath it, with no club team at the under-19 or state-league level.
- Game development and pathways expense was $1.30M in 2025 (2024: $1.32M) against $1.08M of game development and pathways revenue.
- The Broncos Academy, established in 2006, runs academy and talent-squad programs with six named staff; it is a development program rather than a team in a competition.
- Souths Logan Magpies, a Hostplus Cup club, describe themselves on their own site as a 'Proud Affiliate Club of the Brisbane Broncos'.
