Matty Lees has already signed with the PNG Chiefs for their 2028 NRL season, according to multiple reports including NRL.com and news.com.au in August 2026. He joins fellow signings Jarome Luai, Alex Johnston, Connor Watson, Zac Lomax and Brian To'o. News.com.au notes Lees is the fourth player to join the Chiefs from St Helens.
