Morgan Smithies has signed a three-year deal with an option for two more seasons at the new Perth Bears franchise, multiple outlets including The Australian and CODE Sports reported in late August 2026. His move ends his time at Canberra, where he joins fellow departing forward Corey Horsburgh in heading west for 2027.
