The Daily Telegraph reported on 17 October that the Roosters have increased their offer to Sam Walker, after X reported on 16 October the package was worth $6 million. Talks had earlier stalled, with Wide World of Sports noting on 17 September that Walker paused negotiations before his ankle injury. Other clubs including the Dragons, Broncos and PNG Chiefs have been linked, but no rival deal is confirmed.
